A Technical Writer role focused on creating clear, accurate, and structured technical documentation for software and hardware products, collaborating with subject matter experts, leveraging AI tools, and ensuring content quality and consistency within a dynamic tech environment.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather technical information about products and processes
Create, update, and maintain technical documentation such as guides, specifications, and blogs
Translate complex technical information into clear, accessible content for diverse audiences
Leverage AI tools to draft, edit, and summarize technical content while ensuring accuracy and style compliance
Review and edit content submitted by team members for grammar, style, and formatting consistency
Develop and improve templates, style guides, and standards to ensure content uniformity
Use structured authoring principles, including DITA, to create reusable and organized content
Manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously and learn product details to ensure content quality
Requirements
Ability to translate highly technical and complex information into easy-to-understand documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong technical writing background for software, hardware, or related products, with a focus on accuracy, structure, and consistency.
Excellent command of written and spoken English, with advanced skills in writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication.
Proven strength in organizing information into concise, well-structured documentation that scales across multiple products and audiences.
Experience working in structured authoring environments, including XML, XML Schemas, and the DITA architecture.
Hands-on experience with DITA CCMS platforms, ideally Heretto CCMS, and XML authoring tools such as Oxygen XML Editor.
Understanding of information architecture and how to design content models that support reuse, modularity, and localization.
Experience with documentation delivery platforms such as Zoomin CDP and knowledge bases or community platforms like ServiceNow Knowledge and Community.
Confidence using collaboration and productivity tools such as Confluence, Jira, Google Workspace, and Smartsheet.
Familiarity with version control and content lifecycle best practices, for example using Git or similar tools.
Familiarity with generative AI, large language models (LLMs), and AI-powered documentation tools, and how to apply them to content creation and workflow optimization.
Strong problem-solving mindset, with the ability to think critically, anticipate user needs, and challenge the status quo when it improves the experience.
Highly self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented, with a track record of delivering on commitments through effective time management and clear communication.
Comfortable working both independently and in close collaboration with other writers, developers, product managers, and stakeholders.
Curiosity and drive to continuously learn new technologies, tools, and methodologies and to apply those insights to iterative improvements in content and process.
Exposure to networking and/or data storage concepts, or the motivation to ramp up quickly in these technical domains.
Ability to work in an in-office environment at the Prague office in compliance with company policies, unless on PTO, work travel, or approved leave.
