The Technical Account Manager (TAM) is responsible for providing strategic technical guidance and long-term architectural support to enterprise customers, focusing on data storage solutions, risk management, and platform optimization to ensure successful IT transformation and operational resilience.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the long-term technical owner and primary advisor for enterprise accounts, aligning platform strategy with business priorities.
Establish structured technical governance through health reviews, roadmap sessions, and lifecycle planning.
Provide architectural guidance across storage solutions to ensure performance, scalability, resiliency, and data protection.
Identify operational, architectural, and performance risks through telemetry analysis and trend evaluation, driving preventative actions.
Guide customers on replication, disaster recovery, upgrade governance, and capacity planning for platform resilience.
Communicate risk posture, technical strategy, and platform roadmaps to stakeholders, translating technical decisions into business outcomes.
Lead complex, multi-technology issue resolution across internal teams and external vendors.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance platform performance, resiliency, operational efficiency, and adoption.
Requirements
12 years of experience operating within complex enterprise infrastructure environments, including architecture strategy and mission-critical workload support.
Demonstrated experience managing long-term technical relationships within vendor or enterprise IT environments, with accountability for architectural alignment and customer outcomes.
Strong hands-on experience with enterprise storage architectures across block, file, and object environments, including high availability design, replication strategies, disaster recovery planning, and lifecycle governance.
Broad understanding of storage integration within multi-technology ecosystems, including virtualization platforms, operating systems Linux, Unix, Windows, networking fundamentals, and data protection strategies.
Experience supporting Tier 1 applications and database environments, with Oracle experience strongly preferred, where performance consistency and resiliency are essential.
Proven ability to interpret telemetry, performance trends, and operational data to identify early risk indicators and recommend preventative action.
Experience leading complex issue resolution efforts across internal teams and external vendors in multi-technology enterprise environments.
Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical strategy and risk posture to both technical teams and executive stakeholders.
Familiarity with scripting or automation tools (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) to enhance reporting, telemetry analysis, or operational workflows.
Ability and willingness to work primarily in an in-office environment at the Raleigh or Lehi Office in accordance with company policies.
