Job Description
A Supply Chain Specialist responsible for managing buy-sell activities, inventory, transportation, and logistics, while analyzing data and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize overall supply chain performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage buy-sell activities, including purchasing materials and selling, performing system transactions, and managing material risk
- Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and maintain optimal stock levels
- Coordinate transportation and warehousing, track shipments, and ensure timely delivery
- Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements to optimize the supply chain
- Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, forecast demand, and support decision-making
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is generally required.
- Experience in a supply chain role for a minimum of 3-5 years.
- Ability to analyze supply chain data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
- Ability to identify and resolve supply chain issues efficiently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration.
- Ability to negotiate contracts with suppliers.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with supply chain management software such as Netsuite, SAP, Oracle, Google workspace tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
