Key Responsibilities
Develop an understanding of customer business drivers and decision-making processes
Connect technology solutions to measurable customer business outcomes
Collaborate with account teams to create seamless customer experiences and strategies
Highlight the advantages of Pure Storage solutions to customers
Lead technical evaluations, benchmarks, and system configurations
Create and deliver technical product and architecture presentations to clients
Translate customer business needs into innovative storage solutions
Respond to RFI, RFP, and RFQ requests with technical proposals
Identify and pursue new opportunities for interoperability, testing, and validation
Produce marketing materials supporting product positioning and alliance plans
Stay current with competitors and market trends to promote thought leadership
Requirements
Pre-sales experience is required.
Minimum of 5 or more years of relevant experience in technology, design, and communications.
Deep understanding of the architecture, design, and implementation of multi-tiered client-server and web-based computing solutions.
Experience supporting the sales of enterprise storage, networking, systems, cloud, or software to enterprise accounts.
Contribute significant portions and/or lead responses to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
Superior knowledge of current and emerging storage architectures including FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, SAN, Linux, NFS file systems, and Linux distributed network environment.
Familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP is a plus.
Experience with installation and configuration of distributed computing, multiprocessing, virtual memory subsystem, storage subsystems architecture, shared memory architectures, cache architectures, and windowing systems.
Familiarity with containers, Kubernetes (k8s), and microservices architectures is a plus.
Strong knowledge of digital transformation to Cloud Native architecture, On-Premises, Public Cloud, Provisioning Automation, and Containers.
Knowledge of VMware, Local Area Networking, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and general networking.
Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills.
BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other technical degree, or equivalent experience.
Familiarity with modern web architecture such as LAMP stack, scale-out vs scale-up architectures, AWS well-architected framework, microservices architecture is a plus.
Curiosity and passion for technology and explaining new technology platforms and concepts to customers.
Familiarity with storage-intensive applications and their requirements such as structured databases SQL and Oracle is highly desirable.
Must be able to work from the OFFICE_LOCATION office in compliance with company policies, unless on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.
