Job Description
The role involves leveraging technical expertise to support sales and implementation of storage solutions, working closely with customers and internal teams to understand their needs, demonstrate product advantages, and develop innovative, measurable solutions in the enterprise storage and cloud environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Leverage technical expertise to promote adoption of EverPURE solutions with prospects and existing customers in Osaka.
- Understand customer business goals and pain points to propose tailored technical solutions.
- Collaborate with sales, partners, and marketing teams to develop strategies that drive revenue growth.
- Conduct evaluations, benchmarks, and system configurations to demonstrate product capabilities.
- Create and deliver technical presentations and responses to RFPs to secure technical wins.
- Translate customer requirements into innovative storage solutions to support their growth.
- Identify and pursue new opportunities for interoperability, testing, and validation of solutions.
- Stay current with market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to maintain thought leadership.
Requirements
- Pre-sales experience is required.
- 10 or more years of relevant experience, including technology, design, and communications.
- Deep understanding of the architecture, design, and implementation of multi-tiered client-server and web-based computing solutions.
- Experience supporting the sales of enterprise storage, networking, systems, cloud, or software to enterprise accounts.
- Familiarity with storage architectures including FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, SAN, Linux, NFS file systems, and Linux distributed network environment.
- Experience in supporting the sales of storage, networking, or related enterprise technology solutions.
- Contribute significant portions and/or lead responses to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
- Strong knowledge of current and emerging storage architectures and protocols.
- Experience with installation and configuration of distributed computing, multiprocessing, virtual memory subsystems, storage subsystems architecture, shared memory architectures, cache architectures, and windowing systems.
- Familiarity with containers, Kubernetes (k8s), and microservices architectures.
- Strong knowledge of digital transformation to Cloud Native architecture, including On-Premises, Public Cloud, Provisioning Automation, and Containers.
- Knowledge of VMware, Local Area Networking, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and general networking.
- Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills.
- BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other technical degree, or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with modern web architecture, including LAMP stack, scale-out vs scale-up architectures, AWS Well-Architected Framework, and microservices architecture.
- Curiosity and passion for technology, with the ability to explain and demonstrate new technology platforms and concepts to customers.
- Ability to work primarily in an in-office environment at the Osaka office in compliance with company policies.
- Familiarity with storage-intensive applications and their requirements, such as structured databases like SQL and Oracle, is highly desirable.
