We’re looking for an Senior Engineer in the new Hyperscale Developer Infrastructure team to design and build software systems that improve CI health, branch readiness, test efficiency, and release confidence across Datastore. This role sits at the intersection of CI, branch health, test infrastructure, analytics, and developer workflow. It is centered on technical design and implementation rather than operational coordination, with a focus on building durable systems that reduce manual triage, improve signal quality, strengthen gating, and help teams make better decisions before risky changes land. A key customer for this role is the Datastore Firmware team, along with adjacent firmware, software, and infrastructure teams that depend on reliable developer infrastructure.
• Design and implement systems that compute branch and CI health signals, surface important regressions, and improve promotion and gating decisions.
• Build services, pipelines, dashboards, and policy engines that improve engineering productivity rather than relying on manual analysis.
• Develop risk and coverage intelligence for firmware and software changes, including Hydrogen, by identifying code hot spots, correlating changes with failure clusters, and recommending stronger validation where needed.
• Improve the way risky PRs are handled through targeted test selection, stronger gating, better isolation, and guardrails for changes that exceed agreed complexity or risk thresholds.
• Improve test scheduling, prioritization, and resource utilization across Orchestrator, Jenkins, testbeds, drives, and build VMs.
• Translate raw CI, quality, and bug data into technical mechanisms that improve quality at source.
• We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Santa Clara office in compliance with Everpure's policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
• 5+ years of experience
• Strong software engineering skills and the ability to design and implement durable systems with minimal guidance.
• Experience working on CI systems, developer tooling, test infrastructure, analytics platforms, or related quality and productivity systems.
• Good technical judgement, especially around testing, triage, risk reduction, and long-term maintainability.
• Ability to work across firmware, software, infrastructure, and analytics boundaries.
• Strong written and verbal communication, including the ability to explain designs clearly and give useful technical feedback.
• The ability to take defined or moderately ambiguous problems, design the right solution, and deliver systems that other teams rely on.
