The role involves developing and executing automated tests to ensure high-quality software for large-scale storage systems, collaborating across teams to identify issues, and contributing to system validation and troubleshooting in a dynamic, small-team environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement automated tests throughout the product development lifecycle
Create, develop, and maintain automated test sets and strategies for various products
Collaborate with peers and stakeholders to identify requirements and develop comprehensive testing solutions
Work closely with Support and Escalation teams to replicate and diagnose customer issues
Identify, analyze, and document defects discovered during automated testing
Conduct root cause analysis and address test gaps to improve testing coverage
Analyze test results, debug failures, and collaborate with teams to resolve issues
Deploy and configure lab environments, including testbed setup and resource orchestration
Requirements
5 years of experience in software system testing or equivalent.
Proficient in system level testing with a strong emphasis on end-to-end automation and product validation.
Hands-on experience in automation using Python, Go, Java, Kotlin, and or similar languages.
Knowledge of quality engineering to identify test coverage gaps, raise defects, and ensure comprehensive end-to-end validation.
Ability to establish and contribute to system stability, resiliency, and liveliness testing at scale.
Familiarity with the working of SSD NVMe based devices, block, object, or file storage systems.
Ability to analyze test results, debug failures, and drive issues to resolution by collaborating with development, QE, product management, and customer support teams.
Ability to deploy lab environments, including testbed configuration, resource orchestration, and integration of third-party workloads tools.
Capable of prioritizing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Willingness to work onsite at the Santa Clara, CA office in compliance with company policies.
