A Senior Systems QA Engineer responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of innovative storage solutions through automation, system testing, and root-cause analysis, collaborating across engineering teams to deliver high-availability, cloud-integrated storage products.
Key Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end qualification and strategy for major software releases to ensure reliability.
Design and develop automated testing tools and frameworks to streamline integration workflows.
Perform root-cause analysis and triage of complex system failures to resolve high-impact issues.
Create comprehensive test plans for storage features like high availability and cloud-native applications.
Analyze system performance metrics such as I/O paths, latency, and throughput to optimize product performance.
Requirements
Experience in owning the end-to-end qualification and strategy for major shipping releases to ensure reliability and uptime.
Ability to architect and build sophisticated Python-based automation tools and frameworks to simplify integration workflows and eliminate manual testing bottlenecks.
Proven track record of building automated test suites that scale across complex hardware and software environments using Python.
Deep technical command of the storage stack including RAID, Deduplication, NVMe, iSCSI, and virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or OpenStack.
Comprehensive understanding of operating systems Linux and Windows, file systems, and how customer workloads interact with block storage.
Ability to deconstruct intricate system failures, perform rigorous root-cause analysis, and design creative testing scenarios for high-availability clusters.
Strong collaboration and communication skills to articulate technical challenges and solutions clearly to cross-functional engineering and support teams.
Physical ability and willingness to work onsite at the Santa Clara, CA office in accordance with company policies, unless on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.
