A Senior Software Engineer in Production Engineering responsible for designing and maintaining scalable CI/CD pipelines, developer tooling, and automated systems to ensure speed, reliability, and quality in the delivery of data storage products.
Key Responsibilities
Architect and operate scalable, multi-stage CI pipelines and release services using Jenkins, Groovy, and Kubernetes.
Create and maintain APIs, services, and CLIs in Python or Go to streamline developer workflows.
Integrate telemetry metrics, logs, and traces to proactively detect issues and resolve incidents.
Develop data pipelines and dashboards to monitor KPIs and inform release decisions.
Lead cross-functional projects during high-impact integration cycles and mentor team members on production engineering practices.
Requirements
Deep background in distributed systems design and software development using Python, Go, or similar languages.
Proven ability to build automated infrastructure at scale for large engineering organizations.
Extensive experience managing complex CI/CD topologies, including pipeline-as-code, artifact promotion strategies, and container orchestration with Kubernetes or OpenShift within Linux/Unix environments.
Experience designing and operating scalable, multi-stage CI pipelines and release services using Jenkins, Groovy, and Kubernetes that enforce quality gates and branch policies automatically.
Ability to create and maintain robust services, APIs, and CLIs in Python or Go that simplify onboarding, configuration, and debugging workflows for hundreds of engineers.
Experience integrating deep telemetry metrics, logs, and traces into delivery systems to proactively detect flakiness and resolve incidents before impacting the developer experience.
Ability to develop data pipelines and actionable dashboards to monitor KPIs such as pass-rates, escape metrics, and deployment velocity, and use these signals to influence engineering-wide release decisions.
Experience serving as a technical leader during high-impact integration cycles, leading cross-functional projects from initial design through global rollout, and mentoring peers on modern production engineering practices.
Strong operational mindset with a focus on quality, utilizing SQL or analytics platforms to drive decisions and maintaining a calm, decisive approach during incident mitigations.
