Job Description
A Product Engineer within the Global Supply Chain Operations team responsible for transforming complex hardware designs into scalable, high-performance storage solutions, ensuring product reliability, manufacturing efficiency, and global scalability through collaboration with R&D and manufacturing partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design reviews and provide feedback to ensure manufacturability and testability of hardware designs.
- Identify and resolve manufacturing and quality risks in PCB designs and component selections.
- Manage and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) and configuration accuracy throughout product lifecycle.
- Conduct failure analysis and root cause investigations to improve yield and manufacturing efficiency.
- Streamline manufacturing processes and documentation to reduce costs and accelerate product delivery.
Requirements
- Experience in hardware system integration including servers, networking, or storage with a focus on NAND-based flash products and high-density system architectures.
- Deep technical knowledge in Electrical or Computer Engineering, including hands-on experience with PCB schematic capture, layout reviews for high-layer-count boards, and system-level debugging.
- Practical understanding of SMT processes for PCBA, high-speed protocols PCIe NVMe, and the ability to drive DFT strategies that maximize test coverage and quality.
- Proven ability to partner with R D and Contract Manufacturing partners, using strong communication skills to align technical roadmaps with business goals in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical fluency in using Agile PLM and ERP systems such as NetSuite to manage complex product data and ensure manufacturing readiness.
- Ability to act as the primary technical lead for Operations, delivering high-impact DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFT (Design for Test) feedback to R D to ensure seamless production scaling and product reliability.
- Experience in proactively identifying and resolving manufacturing and quality risks within PCB designs and component selections, specifically optimizing for NAND, PCIe, and NVMe performance targets.
- Experience owning the Bill of Materials (BOM) and configuration accuracy within PLM tools, ensuring disciplined change control and traceability from prototype bring-up through mass production.
- Experience orchestrating complex failure analysis and root cause determination with global suppliers, implementing corrective actions to improve yield and manufacturing efficiency.
- Ability to streamline manufacturing processes and documentation across supplier sites to reduce costs and accelerate delivery of high-density flash products.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in hardware systems, electrical or computer engineering, or related fields.
- Willingness to work onsite at the Santa Clara, CA office in accordance with company policies.
