This role involves developing and managing relationships with distribution partners in Japan to drive business growth, collaborate with internal teams, and represent Pure Storage as a strategic and innovative partner in the data storage industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage relationships with distribution partners in Japan.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver business growth through distribution partners.
- Assess market growth opportunities and develop strategies to capitalize on them.
- Build initiatives based on growth strategies and ensure their execution.
- Gain and strengthen executive sponsorship to facilitate collaboration.
- Streamline operational processes such as quoting, logistics, invoicing, and demo equipment management.
- Drive sales, technical, and marketing capabilities at distribution partners.
- Increase pipeline and revenue through technology alliance solutions.
Requirements
- Ability to develop and manage relationships with distribution partners in Japan, working in tandem with Partner Technical Managers to deliver business growth.
- Experience in assessing growth opportunities in the market based on partners' strategy, industry customer trends, and Pure Storage's global regional strategy.
- Ability to build concrete initiatives based on growth strategy and follow through with tenacity to achieve results.
- Proven ability to grow business with distribution partners in related industry products and services.
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with multiple stakeholders across different organizational layers who are not necessarily in direct report-to relationships.
- Excellent communication skills in Japanese (native-level proficiency) and English (fluent) to ensure effective communication and global alignment.
- Experience in representing a company and fostering long-term business growth through distribution partners.
- Ability to gain and strengthen executive sponsorship to accelerate collaboration and serve as the main point of contact representing Pure Storage to distribution partners.
- Experience in streamlining operational engagement processes such as quoting, logistics, invoicing, and demo equipment management between distribution partners and the company.
- Ability to develop and drive sales, technical, and marketing capabilities at distribution partners in partnership with internal teams.
- Experience in driving incremental pipeline growth through technology alliance solutions.
- Demonstrated strategic mindset with the ability to represent the company effectively and realize larger impacts through partnerships.
- Experience in collaborating with internal teams and external partners to develop and execute growth strategies.
- Ability to develop and implement initiatives to foster long-term business growth through distribution channels.
- Experience in building and executing strategies to assess and capitalize on market growth opportunities.
- Ability to work in a diverse, global work environment and influence others outside of immediate reporting lines.
