This role involves leading validation and qualification processes for high-performance NAND flash storage devices, ensuring quality and stability through advanced testing, root cause analysis, and collaboration across teams in a hardware and software environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and execute drive qualification processes for NAND flash storage devices.
Develop and run validation test suites and tools for enterprise SSDs.
Engineer feature tests for SSD NAND and improve regression testing for firmware stability.
Architect software tools for hardware and media validation to diagnose issues and improve firmware.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot failure modes and assess test results.
Requirements
Experience in validation software development with a proven ability to debug complex interactions between software and hardware components.
In-depth knowledge of PCIe NVMe protocols and Firmware Architecture Design specifically within the Solid State Drive (SSD) or enterprise storage domain.
Proficiency with industry-standard validation tools such as Lecroy, Drive Master, or OakGate to identify and resolve critical failure modes.
Technical mastery of hardware design and storage architectures, including the ability to independently devise, automate, and refine qualification methods for flash-based devices.
Ability to develop and execute advanced validation test suites and tools tailored for enterprise-class SSDs.
Experience in engineering critical feature tests for SSD NAND and enhancing existing regression suites to ensure firmware stability across all development milestones.
Ability to architect software tools for hardware and media feature validation to diagnose complex field issues and accelerate firmware maturation.
Proactive in designing and implementing new procedures to improve operational efficiency of drive and system-level demonstration capabilities.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with complex data models to assess performance metrics and perform root-cause analysis in a lab environment.
Willingness to work from the Bengaluru office in compliance with company policies, unless on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.
