Job Description
The role involves developing and maintaining high-scale data pipelines, building observability frameworks, and ensuring platform reliability through collaboration with SRE and product teams, all focused on optimizing data storage and system performance in a cloud-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and scale automated ETL/ELT data pipelines for high-volume metrics ingestion
- Build and maintain observability frameworks and visualization tools for system insights
- Collaborate with SRE and Product teams to define and implement SLOs and SLIs
- Optimize data storage and database architecture for performance and scalability
- Contribute to the development of resilient, high-performance data infrastructure
Requirements
- Proficiency in writing efficient, maintainable code such as Python, Go, or Java.
- Mastery of complex SQL for analyzing large-scale datasets and optimizing warehouse performance.
- Practical experience with cloud-scale data environments such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or ClickHouse.
- Experience implementing scalable data models within transformation frameworks like dbt.
- A strong understanding of SRE fundamentals, including automated testing and version control with Git.
- Ability to apply software development best practices to infrastructure data.
- Experience designing and scaling automated ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest high-volume time-series metrics from thousands of global devices, ensuring 100% data integrity for critical operational decisions.
- Experience building and maintaining observability frameworks and visualization solutions such as Grafana or Kibana to translate raw data into actionable insights.
- Experience partnering with SRE and Product teams to define and implement Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs).
- Ability to proactively identify performance bottlenecks and guide high-priority development efforts based on metrics.
- Experience contributing to the evolution of data storage and time-series database architecture to ensure performance and scalability as metric volume grows.
