Job Description
This role involves leading the development and strategic planning of firmware for Direct Flash Modules in high-performance all-flash storage systems, requiring technical expertise in embedded systems, hardware-software interfacing, and team leadership to drive innovation and ensure reliable, cutting-edge storage solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the firmware strategy and roadmap for DirectFlash SSD Modules.
- Lead the design and delivery of high-performance firmware, focusing on PCIe functionality and NAND media management.
- Drive end-to-end project delivery for PCIe- and NAND-related firmware features, ensuring timely and quality releases.
- Own PCIe hardware bring-up and integration, ensuring compliance and optimal performance.
- Provide technical leadership in system-level debugging and issue resolution across firmware, drivers, and hardware.
- Mentor and develop the firmware engineering team, promoting Agile practices and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Deep Technical Leadership in Embedded Systems
- Proven experience leading technical teams in embedded software development or firmware management for complex, high-performance systems
- Expertise in C and C++ programming languages and embedded development
- Extensive, hands-on knowledge of embedded system architecture, firmware design principles, and proficiency in C and C++ programming languages
- Strong understanding of hardware-software interactions within storage technologies, SSD controllers, or NAND flash media management
- Track record of successfully managing the full product development cycle (PDLC) using Agile or Scrum methodologies, with demonstrated ability to define scope, manage dependencies, and deliver projects on schedule
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively articulate complex technical strategies to cross-functional partners, including Hardware, Software, and Executive teams
