Job Description
A Systems Engineering Manager at Pure Storage leads and develops a high-performing team of pre-sales engineers, driving technical strategy, customer solutions, and market innovation in data storage, cloud, and AI-driven data solutions for enterprise clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of pre-sales Systems Engineers.
- Guide technical demand creation, validation, and solution development for customer needs.
- Demonstrate technical leadership in storage products, architectures, and competitive offerings.
- Translate customer business requirements into innovative storage solutions.
- Support sales strategies, respond to RFIs and RFPs, and identify new opportunities.
- Promote market trends, competitive analysis, and thought leadership within the organization.
Requirements
- 5 years of Management experience leading high performing Sales Engineers selling in Enterprise Accounts
- 10 years experience supporting the sales of storage, networking or systems solutions to a combination of large accounts and data centers
- Deep understanding of the architecture, design and implementation of multi-tiered client server and web-based computing solutions
- Prior experience in setting team strategy to acquire new prospects and converting them into clients
- Knowledge of business impact of current and emerging storage architectures including FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, SAN
- Strong knowledge of digital transformation to a Cloud Native architecture, On-Premises, Public Cloud, Provisioning Automation, and Containers
- Knowledge of VMWare, Local Area Networking, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and general networking
- Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills
