Job Description
This role involves supporting partner engagement and operational processes for distribution resale partners in Japan, ensuring smooth transactions, onboarding, and process improvements within a leading data storage company.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure operational excellence in partner engagement and processes
- Manage deal registration approvals, rejections, extensions, reassignments, and issues
- Handle inbound queries from partners and redirect to appropriate departments
- Assist in onboarding new resellers and distributors
- Manage and improve partner-related processes and document new procedures
Requirements
- Native-level Japanese language skills are required, and the candidate must be comfortable with email and chat communication in English to gain in-region expert support.
- Ability to learn and understand internal and external tools, partner programs, and processes quickly to solve partner inquiries.
- Strong operational acumen with the ability to multi-task and maneuver through solving different types and levels of issues to expedite resolution.
- Excellent collaboration skills to lead conversations with multiple stakeholders both internally and externally, requiring teamwork to solve partner inquiries.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to improve internal and external processes to ensure mid- to long-term success of partner engagements.
- Experience in managing and improving partner-related processes, including handling deal registration approvals, rejections, extensions, reassignments, and issues.
- Experience in onboarding new resellers and distributors, and supporting partner operational activities.
- Ability to evaluate operational processes and identify opportunities to streamline workflows.
- Strong communication skills in Japanese; proficiency in English (email and chat) is required, and English speaking ability is considered a plus.
- Educational background or experience relevant to operational or partner management roles (implied, as the role involves understanding partner programs and operational excellence).
