Join our System Hardware Development Team to engineer the next generation of enterprise storage solutions that power leading organizations globally. In this role, you will own critical phases of the hardware lifecycle—from schematic design and validation to product sustaining—collaborating closely with cross-functional engineering teams, operations, and external manufacturing partners. Your work directly drives the performance, resilience, and successful production launch of high-impact storage platforms.
Architect High-Performance Hardware Systems : Own schematic capture and drive complex PCB layout design with a focus on signal integrity to deliver scalable, reliable enterprise storage architectures.
Guarantee Product Reliability & Quality : Lead sub-system validation and qualification by defining, executing, and automating comprehensive test plans across CPU, DDR memory, PCIe, and Ethernet interfaces to accelerate time-to-market.
Bridge Engineering & Mass Production : Partner with Operations, Manufacturing Test, and Joint Development Manufacturing (JDM) partners to seamlessly transition new storage sub-systems into high-volume production.
Ensure System Resilience : Perform in-depth failure and root-cause analysis during system hardening and customer escalations, converting complex technical findings into actionable design improvements.
Requirements
x86 Architecture & High-Speed Design Mastery : Deep knowledge of x86 architecture, schematic capture, high-speed PCB layout rules, and bus protocols (PCIe, DDR, Ethernet, I2C, SPI) with the ability to validate hardware at electrical, protocol, and functional levels using oscilloscopes and bus analyzers.
Test Automation & Linux Systems Proficiency : Experience navigating Linux environments and writing scripts (e.g., Python, BASH) to build and execute automated hardware qualification and stress testing frameworks (e.g., PTU, Mprime, IOmeter).
Root-Cause Analysis & Technical Problem Solving : Strong ability to evaluate complex data, isolate root causes of hardware anomalies, and apply sound engineering judgment to resolve technical issues across diverse project scopes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration : Collaborative mindset and clear communication skills to partner effectively across internal engineering, operations, and external manufacturing teams.
We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Santa Clara, CA office in compliance with Everpure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
