Key Responsibilities
- The Verification & Validation (V&V) Deployment Engineer is responsible for supporting autonomous vehicle deployments, fleet expansion initiatives, software releases, and operational readiness activities. This role serves as the primary V&V representative in the field, ensuring vehicles, software, maps, and supporting systems are validated and ready for safe, reliable, and efficient operation. The ideal candidate is highly organized, data-driven, and comfortable working in fast-paced deployment environments. This individual will collaborate closely with Engineering, Operations, Fleet, Safety, Mapping, and Deployment teams to support vehicle launches, fleet growth, issue resolution, and continuous improvement efforts.
- This role is onsite 5 days a week at our Mountain View, CA or Fort Worth, TX office!
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience in Verification & Validation, vehicle testing, autonomous vehicles, robotics, ADAS, automotive systems, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of system-level testing and validation methodologies.
- Experience executing field tests and analyzing test results.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Experience supporting autonomous vehicle deployments and fleet operations.
- Experience with route validation, map validation, release testing, and operational readiness assessments.
- Familiarity with vehicle sensors, autonomy systems, perception systems, and fleet operations.
- Experience with log analysis, data analytics, and visualization tools.
- Experience working in cross-functional deployment and operational environments.
- Experience with Python, SQL, Grafana, Foxglove, Jupyter Notebooks, or similar data analysis tools.
- Salary Range - $160,000- $220,000
