Job Description

The role involves leading value management initiatives by developing business cases, quantifying economic impact, and creating compelling value propositions for customers, primarily within the data storage and infrastructure industry. It requires analytical, strategic, and consultative skills to translate technical insights into clear financial and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Lead value workstreams and develop customer value propositions
Build and validate business cases demonstrating economic impact
Develop targeted value assessments quantifying cost, revenue, and risk
Lead financial value workstreams, including modeling and stakeholder coordination
Conduct structured discovery with internal teams and customer stakeholders to gather data and refine value hypotheses

Requirements

Experience in financial analysis, consulting, IT, or related fields with strong analytical capability and numerical literacy.
Proficiency in building financial models in Google Sheets, Excel, or similar tools, including validating datasets, making justified assumptions, managing data integrity, and documenting models clearly.
Ability to develop and maintain customer business cases across the engagement lifecycle, validating inputs, documenting assumptions, and producing customer-ready models in cash-flow and P&L formats.
Ability to confidently present completed business cases and guide conversations using scenario modelling, risk framing, and measurable business outcomes.
Experience in developing targeted, outside-in customer value assessments that quantify economic impact across cost, sustainability, revenue, productivity, and risk.
Ability to build and present compelling value propositions aligned to customer priorities, using insights from internal teams, external research, and customer discovery.
Experience in leading the financial value workstream within large customer opportunities, owning modelling steps, timelines, data requests, and stakeholder coordination.
Strong project discipline including version control, assumption tracking, and risk identification to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Ability to develop reusable financial models, templates, and new value levers to improve the Value Management practice.
Conduct structured discovery across IT, Finance, Procurement, Operations, and Business Units to gather accurate data and build aligned value hypotheses.
Partner with customer stakeholders and Executive teams to confirm assumptions and refine value outputs.
Collaborate with Finance and internal groups to shape commercial strategies that align pricing to quantifiable value.
Clear, effective communication and storytelling skills with the ability to influence technical and business stakeholders at all levels, including engaging directly with customer teams across IT, Finance, Procurement, Operations, and Executive levels.
Curiosity and the ability to learn quickly, adapting to new information and customer contexts, with a strategic mindset connecting infrastructure choices to business outcomes, risk profiles, and financial models.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, work cross-functionally, and operate effectively under pressure, demonstrating professional discipline in assumption tracking, governance, accuracy, and model consistency.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent experience with strong financial foundations.
Familiarity with IT infrastructure or willingness and aptitude to learn it quickly.
Experience with value quantification, ROI tools, or economic modelling frameworks.
