Job Description
Lead the strategic development and high-impact delivery of Pure's flagship FlashArray storage platform by managing and scaling a world-class R&D organization, defining technical strategy, and partnering with global teams to drive product innovation and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic development and high-impact delivery of the FlashArray platform in the Bangalore R&D center.
- Architect and scale the R&D organization, mentoring engineering managers and technical leaders.
- Define, own, and lead the technical strategy and product roadmap for FlashArray projects.
- Partner with Product Management to translate business initiatives into shippable storage solutions.
- Ensure end-to-end product design and delivery throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Implement organizational and technical improvements to support business growth and scalability.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to successfully grow and lead large, multi-team engineering organizations, including direct experience managing second- or third-level technical leaders and managers.
- Deep technical mastery of system software development, including extensive hands-on experience in languages like C and C++, and core concepts related to storage, networking, or database systems.
- Proven expertise in managing the full product lifecycle (SDLC) within an Agile Scrum environment, ensuring complex products are delivered to market on schedule and utilizing strong knowledge of quality best practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience in architecting and scaling a world-class R&D organization, coaching and mentoring multiple engineering managers and technical leaders to deliver core product features.
- Ability to define, own, and lead the technical strategy and product roadmap for storage solutions, balancing short-term delivery priorities with long-term technological innovation.
- Experience partnering with global Product Management to translate strategic business initiatives into shippable, leading-edge storage solutions that meet enterprise customer needs.
- Ability to champion system-level ownership, ensuring successful design and delivery of end-to-end products throughout the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and embedding active customer feedback loops into the development process.
- Proven ability to solve critical scaling challenges within teams and products by implementing organizational and technical improvements supporting business growth.
- Strong customer focus and strategic, analytical skills to manage multiple concurrent projects and critical problem-solving under pressure.
- Willingness to work from the Bangalore, India office in an in-office environment, in compliance with company policies, unless on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.
