Job Description

The role involves leading and managing a high-performing team of Pre-Sales Systems Engineers to drive strategic sales outcomes, develop technical vision, and support the growth of data storage solutions within the region, while fostering team development and maintaining the company's culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire a team of Pre-Sales Systems Engineers to drive strategic outcomes and technical success.
  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies to grow revenue and ensure sustainable long-term growth.
  • Manage pipeline analysis, forecasting, and reporting from a technical perspective.
  • Hire, retain, and develop a high-performing team of SE Managers and Systems Engineers.
  • Align technical messaging and approach across cross-functional teams and partners.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal teams, partners, and industry networks.
  • Represent the company as a regional thought leader at industry events and conferences.

Requirements

  • 15 years of experience in a field pre-sales position.
  • Experience leading a team with direct management responsibilities in a large geography.
  • Previous experience supporting the growth of a rapidly expanding organization and managing initiatives aimed at achieving 20% revenue growth.
  • Willingness to travel as needed on a regular basis.
  • Ability to interact with customers, partners, and prospects to understand their business challenges and engagement in pre-sales processes.
  • Understanding of the big picture, industry trends, and competition.
  • Effective communication skills to cascade communication and goals throughout teams.
  • Ability to leverage the field management process to build strong working relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between pre- and post-sales activities, solutions implementation, and support in line with client expectations.
  • Understanding and ability to communicate technical issues and enhancement requests from customers back to technical support, product management, and R&D.
  • Ability to adapt and make quick adjustments to operations as needed.
  • Self-starter and highly motivated with active contribution to regional opportunities.
  • Experience participating as an executive sponsor in regional opportunities.
  • Experience promoting products and solutions at conferences, forums, and seminars.
  • Strong ethics and personal integrity, treating people with respect at all times.
  • High degree of accountability and ownership.
  • Ability to develop, improve, and maintain resources to meet and exceed sales goals while supporting customer and partner needs.
  • Experience in developing and managing a high-performing team of SE Managers and Systems Engineers, including hiring, mentoring, coaching, and conducting regular 1-on-1s.
  • Ability to set technical vision, develop top SE talent, and align pre-sales strategy with go-to-market priorities.
  • Experience in building and maintaining relationships with technical counterparts within regional alliance and channel partners.
  • Ability to build and maintain a professional network within and outside of the company.
  • Technical curiosity and understanding of industry trends, competition, and customer challenges.
  • Effective soft skills including communication, leadership, and collaboration.
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical issues and customer requests to technical support, product management, and R&D teams.
  • Experience supporting the growth of a rapidly expanding organization and managing initiatives for revenue growth.
  • Willingness to support and uphold the company's culture, values, and diversity and inclusion commitments.

Salary range: $177,100 - $283,500 USD
