Job Description

The role involves selling Pure Storage's all-flash enterprise storage solutions to commercial customers in the New York City area, building relationships, leading sales strategies, and managing a pipeline to meet or exceed sales quotas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evangelize Pure Storage's all-flash enterprise storage technology and data solutions to customers
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers to demonstrate value and ensure high satisfaction
  • Lead pursuit teams and develop account plans to engage internal resources and secure new customers
  • Manage a sales pipeline to meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas
  • Assess customer needs and position solutions to address business challenges
  • Identify and prospect new customers to expand the customer base
  • Navigate complex sales processes involving multiple stakeholders
  • Drive post-sales customer success and ensure ongoing customer engagement

Requirements

  • 5 years of outside sales experience with a focus on new logo acquisition or business development, consistently delivering 5-10 million USD per year in revenues
  • Experience selling into Commercial customers in Long Island, Bronx, and Queens, New York, and currently living in the New York City Metro area
  • Ability to lead pursuit teams and develop account plans to ensure all internal resources are engaged to execute and win new customers
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales quota and driving referenceable business
  • Ability to build and invest in relationships with customers to establish value and drive customer satisfaction ratings in the industry
  • Experience building and managing a healthy and robust sales pipeline to meet or exceed quarterly and annual quotas
  • Expertise leading a complex sales process with multiple stakeholders, fostering teamwork and shared ownership internally and with partners
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including written and oral communication, able to build relationships easily and deepen them over time
  • Ability to assess, plan, and actively manage a sales territory to achieve maximum revenue and efficiency
  • Authenticity and a genuine desire to engage customers and understand their business challenges
  • Thought leadership, creativity, and a Challenger Mindset, with the ability to apply customer insights and technology expertise to position solutions
  • Avid hunter with proven prospecting skills, consistently opening doors to new customers and navigating between the boardroom and data center
  • Experience leading and managing the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing
  • Physical ability to engage in activities related to sales and client meetings as required
