Job Description
The role involves selling Pure Storage's all-flash enterprise storage solutions to commercial customers in the Bay Area, building strong customer relationships, leading sales strategies, and exceeding revenue targets through consultative and team-based selling approaches.
Key Responsibilities
- Evangelize Pure Storage's all-flash enterprise storage technology and data solutions to customers
- Build and maintain relationships with customers to demonstrate Pure's value and ensure high customer satisfaction
- Lead pursuit teams and develop account plans to engage internal resources and secure new customers
- Manage a sales pipeline to meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas
- Assess customer needs and position Pure's solutions to address their business challenges
- Identify and prospect new customers to expand the customer base
- Lead complex sales processes involving multiple stakeholders and foster teamwork internally and with partners
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of outside sales experience with a focus on new logo acquisition or business development, consistently delivering 5-10 million USD per year in revenues.
- Experience selling into Commercial customers in the Bay Area.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales quota and driving referenceable business.
- Ability to lead a complex sales process with multiple stakeholders, fostering teamwork and shared ownership internally and with partners.
- Expertise in building and investing in customer relationships to establish value and drive customer satisfaction.
- Ability to build and manage a healthy and robust sales pipeline to meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas.
- Experience leading pursuit teams and developing account plans to engage internal resources for customer acquisition.
- Strong prospecting skills with a demonstrated ability to open doors to new customers and navigate between the boardroom and data center environments.
- Excellent written and oral interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build and deepen customer relationships over time.
- Ability to assess, plan, and actively manage a sales territory to maximize revenue and efficiency.
- Experience in evangelizing enterprise storage technology and data solutions, effectively communicating the value proposition to customers.
- Demonstrated ability to apply customer insights and technology expertise to position solutions that solve persistent business problems.
- Authenticity and a genuine desire to engage customers and understand their business challenges.
- Ability to lead and coordinate team-selling efforts with teammates and strategic partners globally.
- Experience in leading and managing the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing, with a focus on new customer acquisition.
