Job Description
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing fire alarm system projects, ensuring they meet goals, budgets, and safety standards, while serving as the main contact with clients and contractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate projects to meet overall goals
- Review shop drawings, contract drawings, specifications, and standards to determine installation methods
- Generate proposals for change orders and track project changes
- Determine labor requirements, prepare schedules, and monitor project progress
- Order and track materials, equipment, and tools needed for projects
- Review project timelines to ensure alignment with budgets
- Monitor overall project progress and maintain job records
- Communicate with contractors, owners, architects, and other stakeholders on project status
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures
- Perform formal project reviews with the Fire Alarm Manager
- Assist with project closeout documentation and review as-built drawings
Requirements
- High School diploma, technical or related experience and or training, required.
- 5 years industry experience, required.
- Ability to effectively read, write and communicate in English with employees and customers.
- Ability to operate a computer, use Microsoft Office required.
- Valid driver s license with acceptable driving record required.
- Must be able to comply with SFS s Drug and Alcohol policy and Background screening requirements, which may also include customer specific requirements based on contractual agreement.
