Job Description

A Fire Alarm Service Install Technician responsible for installing, programming, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining fire alarm systems to ensure safety compliance and system functionality, while providing customer support and adhering to industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, program, and repair fire alarm panel systems to meet specifications
  • Perform fire alarm commissioning, testing, inspection, and servicing
  • Troubleshoot and resolve on-site emergency and routine issues with fire alarm systems
  • Interpret blueprints, diagrams, and manuals to properly install and verify systems
  • Provide customer training on device use, maintenance, and system care
  • Identify and correct code and non-conformance issues according to standards
  • Maintain detailed work reports and service tickets
  • Evaluate customer sites for additional equipment and service needs

Requirements

  • 2 years experience as a Fire Alarm Service Technician
  • 2 years experience as a journeyman low voltage electrician
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • NICET II Fire Alarm Systems or higher certification
  • EL-O6 Limited Energy Technician Electrical License
  • Working knowledge of NFPA Standards including 70 and 72 Servicing Guidelines and local AHJ requirements
  • Knowledge and ability to understand and operate basic computer functions such as Windows, Word, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Apple IOS, and Android
  • Valid state issued driver s license with acceptable driving record
