Job Description
This role involves supporting the maintenance and operation of a large constellation of Earth observation satellites by analyzing data, automating mission processes, troubleshooting anomalies, and developing tools to improve satellite performance and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day satellite operations, including data analysis and anomaly resolution
- Develop and maintain scripts to automate mission operations and generate performance metrics
- Identify, triage, and resolve satellite anomalies in space
- Perform daily checks on the satellite fleet to ensure health and safety
- Assist in testing and rolling out software updates for ground and space systems
- Develop tools and processes to improve satellite operation efficiency
- Lead standalone projects to enhance satellite operation methods
Requirements
- Ongoing B.S or M.S Degree in an Engineering, Software, or Science related field
- Software development experience in Python or equivalent
- Passion for space technology and its applications
- Initiative and the ability to tackle unique challenges
- Familiarity with statistical analysis and data-driven development
- Experience with data visualization
- Excellent communication skills and a willingness to collaborate across teams
