Job Description

The Impact Engagement Manager at Planet is responsible for managing partnerships and projects related to environmental and humanitarian initiatives, ensuring effective implementation and impact measurement of satellite data applications in areas such as food security, conservation, and climate change, primarily working remotely from Nairobi, Kenya.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage Impact programs and projects, ensuring successful delivery and impact measurement
Build and maintain trusted relationships with Impact partners and customers, supporting product onboarding and adoption
Communicate effectively with partners and internal teams throughout project lifecycle, resolving issues as needed
Support expansion of product usage in impact areas such as food security, conservation, and climate resilience
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to scope, contract, and set up Impact projects for success

Requirements

A minimum of 4 years of experience in customer support and engagement or a related field.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
Good working knowledge of satellite remote sensing, GIS, and geospatial products.
Ability to successfully communicate and coordinate with international partners and customers, and across internal teams.
Solid problem-solving skills, proactive work style, and ability to work independently as well as with a team.
Experience and interest in environmental stewardship, food security, and livelihood improvement initiatives.
Professional working proficiency in English, the language of the company.
Ability to travel within the region, as well as to Europe and North America.
