Job Description
Support and develop software for satellite operations, analyze satellite data, troubleshoot anomalies, and assist in maintaining and optimizing the performance of Planet's Earth Observation satellite constellation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily satellite operations and analyze data
- Triage and resolve satellite anomalies
- Develop, test, and maintain real-time software for satellite operations
- Create scripts to aggregate satellite data and generate system monitoring metrics
- Conduct on-orbit experiments and monitor satellite health
- Collaborate with hardware and software teams to debug issues and improve satellite services
- Propose solutions to enhance fleet capacity and productivity
Requirements
- Ongoing BSc in engineering or computer science
- Proficiency in software development, particularly in Python or equivalent languages
- Data-driven mindset with experience in statistical analysis
- Proactive, self-starter approach to engineering and problem-solving
- Effective interpersonal and collaboration skills within a technical team
