Job Description
The Solutions Architect will support Defense and Intelligence customers by implementing, integrating, and analyzing software and data products on the Planet Platform, helping to tailor solutions, train users, and ensure mission-critical operations using geospatial and data analytics technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement, integrate, and analyze new software and data products to extend the Planet Platform for defense and intelligence customers
- Train users on Planet products and workflows to ensure mission-critical operations
- Translate operational requirements into actionable product feedback for engineering teams
- Design workflows, define data models, configure integrations, and develop tooling aligned with customer missions
- Collaborate closely with customer teams to understand their workflows, pain points, and priorities
- Prototype, test, and refine workflows to meet operational needs
- Communicate technical capabilities to customers in clear, mission-focused language
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software, Systems Engineering, or similar
- At least 4 years of experience supporting Defense and Intelligence (D I) customers, with specialized technical experience in systems integration
- Fluency in Golang, Python, Postgresql, React or related technologies
- Experience with cloud deployments on GCP, AWS, or Azure
- Solid problem-solving and systems thinking skills
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to quickly learn new technical domains and tools
- Comfort operating in ambiguous, high-pressure environments
- Fluency in translating between technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience with solving complex problems through analytical skills
- Experience scaling and maintaining production systems
- Current US TS SCI or CI Poly security clearance

US base salary range of $137,070 - $171,360 USD (dependent on experience, skills, location)
