Job Description
The Solutions Architect will support defense and intelligence customers by implementing and integrating software and data products on the Planet Platform, designing workflows, training users, and translating operational needs into technical solutions to enhance mission capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement, integrate, and analyze new software and data products to extend the Planet Platform for defense and intelligence customers
- Train users on Planet products and workflows to ensure effective adoption
- Translate operational requirements into actionable product feedback for engineering teams
- Design workflows, define data models, and configure integrations aligned with customer missions
- Support customers in accessing and utilizing Planet's datasets and analytics tools
- Prototype, test, and refine workflows based on operational needs
- Collaborate with customer teams to understand workflows, pain points, and mission priorities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software, Systems Engineering, or similar fields.
- Four (4) years of experience supporting Defense and Intelligence (D I) customers, with specialized technical experience in systems integration.
- Fluent in Golang, Python, Postgresql, React or related technologies.
- Experience with cloud deployments on GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Solid problem-solving and systems thinking skills.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to quickly learn new technical domains and tools.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous, high-pressure environments.
- Deep curiosity and willingness to dive into operational details.
- Fluency in translating between technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with solving complex problems through analytical skills.
- Experience scaling and maintaining production systems.
