Job Description
The role involves developing and maintaining software pipelines and services related to Earth Observation data within the Sentinel Hub platform, working closely with cross-functional teams to enhance data accessibility and quality for users worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and develop data pipelines for Earth Observation data
- Build custom services to increase data availability on the platform
- Develop tools, libraries, and technical documentation related to data processing
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within data systems
Requirements
- 4 years of experience in software development.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Geoinformatics, computer science, physical science, engineering, physics, mathematics, or a comparable field of study.
- Experience with Java or other similar object oriented language.
- Experience with REST APIs, HTTP S.
- Familiarity with cloud object storage solutions such as AWS S3.
- Experience working with raster data, ideally geospatial formats like Cloud-Optimized GeoTIFFs (COGs).
- Excellent communication skills in English, written and oral.
- A commitment to code quality, demonstrated by hands-on experience in writing tests and building a culture of quality assurance.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams that put customer requirements first.
- Ability to be adaptable and open to changes and challenges.
- Willingness to learn quickly and take on unfamiliar tasks.
