Job Description
The Senior Product Manager for Monitoring Imagery Products is responsible for developing and executing the strategy and roadmap for collecting, processing, and delivering Earth observation imagery, ensuring the product meets customer needs and supports global monitoring solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive the end-to-end product strategy for monitoring imagery, aligning with company priorities and customer needs
- Develop product requirements for new and existing monitoring imagery systems and missions
- Prioritize improvements in image cadence, quality, coverage, cost, and latency
- Collaborate with engineering and image processing teams to enhance imagery quality and delivery pipelines
- Analyze usage patterns and customer feedback to inform product iterations
- Interface with platform teams to specify delivery requirements for monitoring missions
- Establish success metrics and utilize data-driven insights to guide product decisions
Requirements
- Six (6) years of product management experience, ideally in Earth Observation, geospatial, or related technical domains.
- Excellent understanding of satellite imagery, remote sensing, or large-scale data products.
- Experience balancing technical trade-offs and customer needs in complex product ecosystems.
- Ability to align diverse stakeholders around strategy, priorities, and execution.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
- Superb analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-informed decision-making approach.
- Experience effectively collaborating with Engineering teams and delivering results.
- Experience working with and meeting the needs of customers.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize appropriately.
- Experience with monitoring-focused Earth Observation (EO) products, remote sensing science, image processing, or geospatial data analysis (preferred but not mandatory).
- Experience building and scaling core data or imagery products that serve multiple market segments (preferred but not mandatory).
- Experience working closely with operations teams and understanding the realities of satellite or sensor constraints (preferred but not mandatory).
- This position requires access to export-controlled information, and the candidate must be able to access all applicable export-controlled information without additional export licensing being required by the Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
