Job Description
The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining hardware and software test systems for satellite manufacturing, collaborating with engineering teams to ensure high reliability and scalability of testing processes in a full-time, in-office position in Berlin.
Key Responsibilities
- Support manufacturing operations by troubleshooting test station issues
- Maintain and improve existing manufacturing test stations
- Drive strategy and approach for PCBA testing in manufacturing
- Oversee deployment and provisioning of test software
- Update and manage test pass/fail criteria
- Continuously improve test software and hardware for reliability and scalability
- Troubleshoot station failures and debug PCBA non-conformances
- Collaborate with design engineers to develop board-level tests
- Design and develop test fixtures, hardware, and software for testing
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, Aerospace or similar engineering discipline
- 6 years of experience in PCBA testing or manufacturing electrical test development and sustainment
- Ability to read and interpret PCBA schematics and use them to understand functionality and troubleshoot hardware
- Experience with JTAG boundary scan, bed-of-nail testers, and functional tests
- Experience developing and documenting operating procedures and guides
- Experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues and identifying root causes
- Experience with measurement hardware and test equipment such as DMMs, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, analog and digital I/O, data acquisition systems, switch matrices, relay banks, and signal conditioning
- Experience programming in Python, especially for functional tests of hardware
- Experience managing multiple Linux systems in a test environment
- Experience with DVCS such as git or mercurial
- Ability to support and maintain an active production line on the manufacturing floor
- Ability to troubleshoot station failures and debug PCBA non-conformances through all stages of testing, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Willingness to work full-time in-office at the Berlin Manufacturing Center, 5 days a week
