Job Description
The role involves verifying FPGA-based designs for imaging satellites, collaborating with engineers to develop and validate hardware and software components, and automating verification processes to support satellite operations at Planet.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify FPGA-based designs for satellite imaging operations
- Develop and improve verification environments using SystemVerilog and formal tools
- Collaborate with RTL software engineers to create verification plans and enhance hardware integration testing
- Write and debug tests to ensure functional correctness of digital blocks and systems
- Automate verification workflows and develop production testing flows with AI tools
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or similar.
- 6 years of experience developing DV test plans, verifying RTL using SystemVerilog, and assisting in lab-based debugging of FPGA-based digital designs with processors.
- Expertise in scripting and programming in Python, C, and shell.
- Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., git) and managing releases to production.
- Experience in verifying hardware/software interfaces.
- Experience verifying high-speed serial protocols including PCIe, NVMe, MIPI, CameraLink, JESD204B, etc.
- Experience in bringing up and maintaining design, validation, and build tools.
- Experience with field deployments, debugging, and upgrades.
- Ability to access export-controlled information without additional export licensing being required by the Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.

Salary range of $162,600 - $203,200 USD (dependent on experience, skills, and location)
