Job Description
The Pre-Sales Solutions Architect role involves demonstrating the value of Planet's Earth observation data and services to clients in Europe, supporting sales efforts, building customer relationships, and collaborating with internal teams to develop tailored solutions for defense and intelligence sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate the value of Planet's data and services through presentations and product demonstrations.
- Build relationships with customer technical and management staff as a trusted advisor.
- Recommend solutions architecture to address customer business challenges.
- Assist in responding to tenders, RFIs, and RFPs with product solution information.
- Collaborate with internal teams to act as the voice of the customer and support sales activities.
- Achieve sales and operational objectives set by management.
- Present to government stakeholders within the European regions.
- Lead customer engagements, workshops, and training sessions.
Requirements
- Support the Defense community within the European region with 6 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance for meeting with regional customers.
- Ability to travel internationally up to 50%, primarily around Europe and the United States.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French.
- Professional working proficiency in English, the language of the company.
- Experience working with GIS and Remote Sensing users within the Defense industry.
- Experience in IMINT, ISR, and related fields.
- Experience with QGIS, SocetGXP, ArcGIS, GDAL, and other common geospatial software packages.
- Ability to successfully communicate and coordinate with international customers and sales team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and proactive working style.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Ability to program with Python to process imagery, manipulate vector data, interact with APIs, and build data pipelines.
