Job Description
The role involves leading pre-sales solution architects in the EMEA region to provide technical sales expertise, develop customer relationships, and drive revenue for Planet's Earth Observation solutions, with a focus on geospatial technologies and complex data systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage Pre-Sales Solution Architects in the EMEA region to provide technical sales support.
- Develop and execute account planning and sales strategies to maximize customer engagement and revenue.
- Provide trusted technical advice to customers on Earth Observation and geospatial solutions.
- Conduct customer meetings, presentations, demonstrations, and workshops to showcase solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams and partners to deliver technical assessments and successful projects.
- Gather customer insights and feedback to inform product development and marketing strategies.
- Establish and share best practices within the global geospatial community to ensure high standards.
Requirements
- Six (6) years of experience managing a successful technical sales team.
- Eight (8) years of experience working in software or technical sales.
- Solid technical fluency with system architectures, cloud environments, complex data pipelines, and technical proposal writing.
- Ability to effectively engage customers at the executive level to clearly articulate technical complexity and strategic business value.
- Consultative selling experience with a proven track record of success.
- Customer centric and data-driven approach, able to turn insights into meaningful actions.
- Excellent human skills including organization, prioritization, problem-solving, assertiveness, proactivity, curiosity, adaptability, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to partner with Product, Marketing, and Sales leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, GIS Remote Sensing, or a comparable combination of technical education and relevant work experience.
