Job Description

The role involves leading technical sales and solution architecture efforts in the EMEA region for Planet's Earth Observation data products, providing expert guidance to customers, managing teams, and driving revenue through strategic engagement and technical consulting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage Pre-Sales Solution Architects in the EMEA region to provide technical sales support.
  • Develop and execute account planning and sales strategies to maximize customer engagement and revenue.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with customers through technical advice, presentations, demonstrations, and workshops.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and partners to deliver technical assessments and successful projects exceeding customer expectations.
  • Provide feedback to product development and marketing teams to improve customer engagement and drive sales.

Requirements

  • Six years of experience managing a successful technical sales team.
  • Eight years of experience working in software or technical sales.
  • Solid technical fluency with system architectures, cloud environments, complex data pipelines, and technical proposal writing.
  • Ability to effectively engage customers at the executive level to clearly articulate technical complexity and strategic business value.
  • Consultative selling experience with a proven track record of success.
  • Customer centric and data-driven approach, able to turn insights into meaningful actions.
  • Excellent human skills including organization, prioritization, problem-solving, assertiveness, proactivity, curiosity, adaptability, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to partner with Product, Marketing, and Sales leadership.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, GIS Remote Sensing, or a comparable combination of technical education and relevant work experience.
