Job Description
The Project Manager will lead complex projects to support the adoption of Planet's satellite data platform by government clients, working with cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions, develop proposals, and ensure project success in a dynamic, global environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive complex projects to scale governmental customer adoption of the Planet Platform and data products
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project methodology and strategy
- Develop and deliver proposals for defense intelligence customers by gathering technical inputs and articulating value propositions
- Partner with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and success metrics
- Translate business and technical requirements into actionable deliverables
- Manage project schedules, scope, risks, costs, and budgets
- Provide project updates to customers and internal teams
- Design and implement processes for operational excellence and scalability
- Monitor and improve business workflows and processes
- Manage contracts with subcontractors, including task assignment, deliverables, and budgets
- Measure project performance and customer satisfaction to inform future improvements
Requirements
- Four years of experience in project management experience, including experience supporting proposal development for government or defense-sector customers.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Experience preparing and contributing to technical proposals.
- Experience working with or as part of the Defense and Intelligence community.
- Ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects in a technical or product development setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to independently manage competing priorities and adapt quickly in dynamic environments.
- A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to balance day-to-day responsibilities with forward-looking improvements.
- This position requires access to export-controlled information, and employment or hiring of a contractor is contingent upon the candidate’s ability to access all applicable export-controlled information without additional export licensing being required by the Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.

US National Salary Range: $93,420 - $116,730 USD
