Job Description
The role involves managing and expanding relationships with government clients across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa to help them utilize Planet's satellite imagery and geospatial solutions for environmental monitoring, emergency response, land management, and other critical applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and expand relationships with government customers across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa
- Ensure customers effectively integrate Planet's imagery and geospatial solutions into their workflows
- Identify opportunities for account expansion, renewals, and upselling
- Facilitate training, onboarding, and best practices for using Planet data in GIS and remote sensing workflows
- Advocate for customer feedback to inform product enhancements and feature development
- Collaborate with sales, product, and marketing teams to support customer needs and develop case studies and events
- Develop long-term strategic plans aligned with customer policy goals, project timelines, and budgets
Requirements
- Four years of experience in Customer Success, account management or similar roles, ideally supporting government organizations as a customer.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Advanced working knowledge of remote sensing, GIS or geospatial imagery products.
- Ability to develop long-term strategic plans for each customer that align with their policy goals, project timelines, and budget cycles.
- Solid organizational skills to manage multiple customers at once, prioritize tasks, and keep projects on track.
- Ability to successfully communicate and coordinate with international customers and sales teams.
- Solid problem solving skills, proactive work style and ability to work independently.
- Ability to translate customer challenges into solutions using Planet’s data and services.
- Fluency in English, the language of the company, including excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to travel.
