Job Description
The role involves managing and expanding relationships with military and government agencies in South Korea, Australia, and New Zealand, helping them integrate Planet's satellite imagery and geospatial solutions into their workflows to support national security, disaster response, and urban planning missions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and expand relationships with strategic military and governmental agencies in South Korea, Australia, and New Zealand.
- Act as the main point of contact for customers throughout their contract lifecycle, focusing on customer value, retention, and satisfaction.
- Assist customers in integrating Planet's geospatial data into their workflows for applications like border security, disaster response, and urban planning.
- Navigate complex government structures and build relationships with stakeholders across various ministries to drive platform adoption.
- Own the renewal process and identify opportunities for account growth by demonstrating ongoing value.
- Collaborate with internal teams to influence product development based on regional customer requirements.
- Develop and execute success plans with clear KPIs to ensure customer mission success and identify new use cases.
Requirements
- Four years of experience working directly with the South Korean, or ANZ Defence Forces and or Federal Government agencies.
- Understanding of the nuances of the South Korean and ANZ government procurement landscape and bureaucratic decision-making.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- A solid grasp of GIS, remote sensing, or satellite imagery applications, with the ability to speak the language of geospatial analysts.
- Ability to build connections across ministries and maintain relationships with both high-ranking officials and technical end-users.
- Exceptional negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical capabilities into strategic mission outcomes.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining high levels of engagement with a global team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Korean.
- Professional working proficiency in English, the language of the company.
- Willingness to travel.
- Active armed forces reserve or veteran as a relevant intelligence professional (preferred but not mandatory).
- Experience with platforms like ArcGIS, QGIS, or Google Earth Engine (preferred but not mandatory).
