Job Description

A Customer Success Manager role focused on managing and expanding relationships with commercial clients in sectors like agriculture, insurance, and energy by helping them maximize the value of Planet's geospatial imagery solutions and integrating data into their workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial customers to ensure they achieve their mission objectives using Planet's products
  • Identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts and collaborate with sales teams to drive renewals and upsells
  • Facilitate training, onboarding, and best practices for integrating Planet data into GIS and remote sensing workflows
  • Advocate for feature enhancements and product improvements based on customer feedback
  • Collaborate with internal teams to share insights on key accounts and develop strategies for future success

Requirements

  • Six (6) years of experience in Customer Success, account management, or a similar role.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Advanced working knowledge of remote sensing, GIS, or geospatial imagery products.
  • Advanced technical background, with experience in remote sensing platforms and solutions.
  • Ability to successfully communicate and coordinate with international customers and sales teams.
  • Solid problem solving skills, proactive work style, and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to partner with leading global companies on scaling innovative technologies, understanding industry workflows and needs.
  • Experience in earth observation and related fields.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to travel approximately 10% of the year domestically or internationally.
