The Project Developer, Built Environment, is responsible for managing the development of solar and energy storage projects across the US, including permitting, interconnection, and site diligence, from initial site receipt to transition for project delivery, with a focus on urban and commercial settings.
Key Responsibilities
Develop assigned solar, solar storage, and standalone energy storage projects from site receipt through transition to project delivery.
Manage permitting, interconnection, and environmental diligence for renewable energy facilities.
Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors throughout the project life cycle.
Navigate complex jurisdictional environments to secure project permits and approvals.
Coordinate stakeholder engagement and manage stakeholder views across multiple projects.
Requirements
Experience in executing the development of solar, solar storage, and standalone energy storage projects located in urban, commercial, and infrastructure-adjacent settings across the US.
Ownership of projects through discretionary permitting, interconnection, environmental diligence, until transition to the Project Delivery team for EPC sequence.
Strong organizational skills and ability to navigate complex jurisdictional environments with ambiguous or novel paths to permit approvals.
Ability to manage stakeholder views on multiple projects with clear communication and attention to detail.
Ownership of project development responsibilities from receipt of site through transition to project delivery construction, including pre-NTP activities.
Primary focus on interconnection, site diligence, and permitting for renewable energy facilities with a focus on C I projects rooftop, ground-mount, or carport PV battery energy storage, and greenfield energy storage projects across the US.
