Job Description

This role involves leading technical functions to optimize production and manufacturing processes, including equipment setup, maintenance, troubleshooting, data analysis, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality production operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, calibrate, configure, and operate production equipment according to SOPs
  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on automated systems
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions
  • Perform soldering, hand assembly, rework, and packaging of parts
  • Monitor and maintain electronic equipment, ensuring accurate record-keeping
  • Follow product specifications, blueprints, and SOPs for equipment operation
  • Assist in quality control to ensure products meet standards
  • Diagnose, report, and resolve issues with products, methods, and equipment
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment complying with OSHA standards
  • Record and report production and maintenance data accurately
  • Manage parts lists and spare parts inventory proactively
  • Complete qualification documentation for machines, procedures, and processes
  • Provide technical support and training to manufacturing personnel
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and improve productivity
  • Support Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing initiatives
  • Follow ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OSHAS 18001 procedures

Requirements

  • Ability to set up, calibrate, configure, and operate equipment according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Perform regular maintenance checks and repairs on automated systems, including inspecting and replacing parts as needed to ensure machinery operates at peak efficiency.
  • Conduct routine diagnostic checks on automated systems to detect malfunctions.
  • Perform soldering, hand assembly, rework, and packaging of parts and assemblies.
  • Maintain, monitor, and inspect electronic equipment, providing technical support and maintaining accurate records.
  • Read and follow product specifications, blueprints, diagrams, and apply SOPs to set up and operate production equipment efficiently.
  • Assist in quality control processes to ensure final products meet quality standards.
  • Diagnose, report, and resolve problems with products, methods, and equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment that complies with OSHA Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards.
  • Accurately record and report production data using maintenance data software.
  • Organize parts lists and spare parts systems to proactively prepare service equipment.
  • Complete qualification documentation on machines, procedures, and processes.
  • Work closely with manufacturing personnel and provide technical support and training.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and improve productivity.
  • Support Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing practices.
  • Follow procedures associated with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OSHAS 18001 standards.
  • Possess an associate degree in a technical field such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial technology, or a related field, or have 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience with a high school diploma.
  • Have experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically in similar industry production work.
  • Possess knowledge of industry standards, latest technological advancements, and safety protocols.
  • Hold a Certified Production Technician (CPT) certification.
  • Have knowledge of ISO 9001 and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Be able to lift at least 50 pounds, use a pallet jack with a 300-pound load, and carry 20-pound boxes up and down portable staircases.
  • Be able to push a 4-wheeled cart with a 100-pound load.
  • Be able to work a 6-day week if required.
  • Be able to stand or sit continually for four hours without a break.
  • Be able to travel to offsite locations, including German Headquarters, for periods of up to 2 to 3 weeks.
  • Punctuality and attendance in accordance with company policies.
