The Product Manager is responsible for the strategic planning, development, and lifecycle management of Phoenix Contact's North American circuit breaker product portfolio, ensuring alignment with business goals and market needs through cross-functional collaboration and market analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Define and develop the product strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle management for circuit breaker products.
Conduct market research, gather customer feedback, and analyze competitors to inform product planning.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, marketing, sales, QA) to develop, test, and launch products.
Create and communicate product requirements, specifications, and value propositions to internal stakeholders.
Monitor product performance and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement and ensure competitiveness.
Manage product lifecycle stages from concept and design to end-of-life, including modifications and updates.
Coordinate with marketing to prepare promotional, technical, and training materials, and deliver sales and technical training.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline or equivalent work experience is required.
At least 3 years of working knowledge of product development and/or product marketing experience with circuit breaker technology.
Experience with networking technologies including cellular and ethernet is highly desired.
Must be well organized, self-motivated, and capable of seeing projects through to completion.
High level of accountability and planning capabilities, with the ability to communicate with transparency and integrity.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and successfully collaborate in a dynamic and diverse environment.
Proficient with Salesforce, Microsoft Visio, MS Office Suite Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Must be able to travel via airplane for up to 14 hours and via automobile for up to six hours at a time, including overnight travel.
Must be able to sit for 4 hours at a time and stand for extended periods.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Regular and on-time attendance is required.
This position requires at least three days in the office per week, unless otherwise specified.
