Job Description
The Manufacturing Engineer Technician I supports manufacturing processes and equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvements to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality production of electronic components, working closely with engineering and quality teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing production equipment
- Support machine enhancements and development in coordination with Engineering
- Aid in the design and testing of manufacturing equipment and systems
- Use CAD software to assist in tooling and test system design
- Maintain and calibrate production machinery including CNC machines, PLCs, and automated tools
- Support process validation and equipment qualification activities
- Contribute to process improvements to enhance productivity and product quality
- Assist in modifying tooling, fixtures, and procedures for manufacturability
- Conduct basic time studies and data collection for lean initiatives
- Help create and maintain manufacturing documentation such as SOPs, work instructions, and change orders
- Ensure compliance with ISO, GMP, OSHA, and ESD standards
- Support audits and inspections with accurate documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, quality, and production
Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 0 to 3 years of relevant work experience preferred.
- Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Experience with PC and Windows-based software.
- Exposure to engineering drawings and CAD tools 2D and 3D.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Familiarity with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar software.
- Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Able to use a pallet jack with a 300-pound load.
- Able to use portable staircase and climb to 12-foot heights.
- Able to carry 20-pound, 3 cubic feet boxes up and down portable staircase.
- Able to push a 4-wheeled cart with a 100-pound load.
- Able to work a 6-day week if required.
- Able to stand or sit continually for four hours without a break.
