The Manufacturing Engineer II supports the development, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing tools and processes, troubleshooting equipment, designing fixtures, and collaborating with teams to improve production efficiency in a factory environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support development, implementation, measurement, and optimization of manufacturing tools and processes
Troubleshoot and service manufacturing equipment and process concerns
Design and implement fixtures to improve efficiency and reduce costs
Develop and optimize shop floor processes in collaboration with manufacturing personnel
Contribute to cost calculations and labor estimates
Support manufacturing operations and daily activities as needed
Complete manufacturing tooling drawings in AutoCAD
Assist in product development and participate in design reviews
Create BOM structures according to manufacturing and process requirements
Support continuous improvement initiatives through suggestion systems
Requirements
BS Degree in Manufacturing Engineering
4-7 years of relevant professional-level work experience with 3-5 years of experience in a factory environment
Proficient written and verbal communication skills
Ability to understand and implement drawings according to the Engineering Drawings specification PI H-3-73002
Ability to work as directed with Senior level personnel and managers in interpreting QA Inspection Data
Understanding of the basics of 2D Drawings and 3D Modeling
Familiarity with general manufacturing techniques
Knowledge of corporate and industry standards
Demonstrate initiative by understanding what actions need to be taken and completing the required tasks while seeking the perspective of others as required
Demonstrate an honest and forthright presence by taking responsibility for own mistakes and not blaming others, and by doing what he/she commits to doing
Work as a team player to make a difference within the business and express gratitude and appreciation to others who have provided information, assistance, or support
Ability to travel by air and be eligible to obtain a passport
Occasional overseas travel for extended periods required
Occasional domestic travel required
Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
Must be able to communicate effectively in English
Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
