Job Description

The Manufacturing Engineer II supports the development, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing tools and processes, troubleshooting equipment, designing fixtures, and collaborating with teams to improve production efficiency in a factory environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support development, implementation, measurement, and optimization of manufacturing tools and processes
  • Troubleshoot and service manufacturing equipment and process concerns
  • Design and implement fixtures to improve efficiency and reduce costs
  • Develop and optimize shop floor processes in collaboration with manufacturing personnel
  • Contribute to cost calculations and labor estimates
  • Support manufacturing operations and daily activities as needed
  • Complete manufacturing tooling drawings in AutoCAD
  • Assist in product development and participate in design reviews
  • Create BOM structures according to manufacturing and process requirements
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives through suggestion systems

Requirements

  • BS Degree in Manufacturing Engineering
  • 4-7 years of relevant professional-level work experience with 3-5 years of experience in a factory environment
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to understand and implement drawings according to the Engineering Drawings specification PI H-3-73002
  • Ability to work as directed with Senior level personnel and managers in interpreting QA Inspection Data
  • Understanding of the basics of 2D Drawings and 3D Modeling
  • Familiarity with general manufacturing techniques
  • Knowledge of corporate and industry standards
  • Demonstrate initiative by understanding what actions need to be taken and completing the required tasks while seeking the perspective of others as required
  • Demonstrate an honest and forthright presence by taking responsibility for own mistakes and not blaming others, and by doing what he/she commits to doing
  • Work as a team player to make a difference within the business and express gratitude and appreciation to others who have provided information, assistance, or support
  • Ability to travel by air and be eligible to obtain a passport
  • Occasional overseas travel for extended periods required
  • Occasional domestic travel required
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
