Job Description
The Manufacturing Engineer II supports the development, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing tools and processes, troubleshooting equipment, designing fixtures, and collaborating with team members to improve manufacturing efficiency and quality in a factory environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support development, implementation, measurement, and optimization of manufacturing tools and processes
- Troubleshoot and service manufacturing equipment and process concerns
- Design and implement fixtures to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Develop and optimize shop floor processes in collaboration with manufacturing personnel
- Contribute to cost calculations and labor estimates
- Support manufacturing operations in daily activities and production tasks
- Create general manufacturing tooling drawings in AutoCAD
- Assist in product development and participate in design reviews
- Create BOM structures according to manufacturing and process requirements
- Support continuous improvement initiatives through suggestion systems
Requirements
- BS Degree in Manufacturing Engineering
- 4-7 years of relevant professional-level work experience with 3-5 years of experience in a factory environment
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to understand and implement drawings according to the Engineering Drawings specification PI H-3-73002
- Ability to work as directed with Senior level personnel managers in interpreting QA Inspection Data
- Understanding of the basics of 2D Drawings and 3D Modeling
- Familiarity with general manufacturing techniques
- Knowledge of corporate and industry standards
- Demonstrate initiative by understanding what actions need to be taken and completing the required tasks while seeking the perspective of others as required
- Demonstrate an honest and forthright presence by taking responsibility for own mistakes and not blaming others, and by doing what he/she commits to doing
- Work as a team player to make a difference within the business and express gratitude and appreciation to others who have provided information, assistance, or support
- Must be able to travel by air
- Must be eligible to obtain a passport
- Occasional overseas travel for extended periods required
- Occasional domestic travel required
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
