Job Description
The Demand Planner is responsible for forecasting demand, managing inventory levels, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure product availability, cost efficiency, and timely delivery within the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning and execution of materials and inventory to ensure product availability and on-time delivery.
- Maintain accurate ERP parameters such as EOQ, lot size, safety stock, and reorder points based on demand and forecast data.
- Execute purchase orders and manage replenishment and stocking programs for designated customers.
- Analyze demand, forecast data, and sales trends to support inventory optimization and replenishment strategies.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to support inventory turns and service levels.
- Prepare and maintain reports and data analysis to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Purchasing to support stocking programs and operational targets.
- Participate in inventory review processes such as scrap reviews and supplier returns.
- Coordinate new item setups and data requirements with relevant departments.
- Perform daily ERP functions including creating purchase orders, issuing orders, and responding to supplier issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or related field.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in demand planning, supply planning, or supply chain operations.
- Working knowledge of MRP and CRP systems.
- Experience using forecasting tools and understanding of bills of materials.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Solid math and statistical analysis skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Must be able to withstand long periods up to 4 hours without a break.
- Must be able to read and write fluently in English.
- Must be professional, ethical, and customer-focused.
- Must be willing to travel internationally.
- Must be willing to work over-time as needed.
