Job Description
The Data Specialist Procurement leverages data analytics to support procurement activities, optimize sourcing strategies, maintain master data integrity, and improve operational efficiency within the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, review, and update master data for end articles in EPLM and ERP systems
- Ensure data integrity throughout product lifecycle management
- Generate and analyze master data reports
- Transfer master data between systems and load documentation
- Manage and reconcile indirect procurement activities, including processing receipts and monitoring orders
- Support system enhancements, data accuracy, and user training
- Assist with procurement compliance and process improvements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, or related field preferred and 1-3 years experience OR in lieu of a degree, 3-5 years of relevant experience in procurement analytics, strategic sourcing, or supply chain operations.
- Strong proficiency in Excel.
- Familiarity with procurement systems and ERP platforms SAP TeamCenter preferred.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience with spend analysis, supplier scorecards, and cost modeling.
- Must be proficient in spoken and written English.
- Some ability in spoken and written German would be beneficial to this role.
- Must be available for occasional business trips when required, including international travel, for periods of up to 10 working days.
- Able to sit or stand continually for four hours without a break.
- Able to use computer for four hours without a break.
- Able to drive to local supplier, in own vehicle with reimbursement, at short notice.
- Able to work 6-day week, if required.
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
- Regular and on-time attendance.
- This is a hybrid position requiring at least three days in the office.
- Must be able to create master data and revise components and end articles in EPLM system(s).
- Must review and update master data for end articles and ensure integrity of master data during product life cycle management.
- Must create and run master data reports and lead efforts to update master data, including checking for old revisions, evaluating global inventory levels, and determining when to set data to invalid.
- Must transfer master data within EPLM and ERP systems and load documentation into EPLM systems.
- Must manage and reconcile indirect procurement activities, including processing receipts, monitoring open and past-due indirect orders, tracking intangible receipts, and implementing monthly modifications and adjustments.
- Must ensure accuracy and compliance in purchase orders, requisitions, and vendor records.
- Must identify and implement process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency.
- Must support system enhancements, data integrity, and user training.
- Must support and serve as a backup for manager designated team members as needed to ensure seamless continuity of key responsibilities and deliverables.
