The AS RS Technician II is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and system diagnostics on automated storage retrieval systems and conveyor equipment, supporting continuous operation and system improvements in a logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance on the automated storage retrieval system (ASRS) and conveyor equipment.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex logistics system failures independently.
Coordinate with OEMs and subcontractors for system diagnostics, repairs, and upgrades.
Document maintenance activities, error resolutions, and work orders in the CMMS software.
Manage spare parts inventory and ensure proper replenishment.
Analyze system performance metrics to support continuous improvement.
Provide training and guidance to warehouse team leaders and Technician I staff on system troubleshooting.
Support broader facility maintenance tasks as prioritized by the Facilities Manager.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
3 to 5 years of experience in logistics automation or industrial maintenance, with at least 1 to 2 years in an ASRS Technician I or equivalent role
Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and control diagrams
Strong understanding of automated systems, PLCs, and industrial controls
Demonstrated ability to lead troubleshooting efforts and mentor junior technicians
Proficient in Microsoft Office and CMMS software tools
Must be able to stand for 8 hours a day
Must be able to climb up to 50 feet
Must be able to lift 60 pounds
Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to use own vehicle for local trips with reimbursement
Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and PRN overtime
Must be willing to support the facility maintenance team in a collaborative environment
Must be able to handle extreme temperatures
Must be able to drive for up to 2 hours
Must be able to speak and understand English to communicate verbally and in writing
